Maffra Secondary College Gippsland Campus Visit

FedUni Schools Outreach will host Year 10 students from Maffra Secondary College at the Gippsland campus to give them an insight into life at University.  Visiting students will participate in a study skills session, complete an Amazing Race around the campus, get the opportunity to talk to current students about what it is like to study at the Gippsland campus, and experience a guest lecture from one of our outstanding academics.

FedUni Schools Outreach Staff will visit Trafalgar High School to deliver our interactive workbook session to Year 9 students.  Students will explore their abilities and how they can translate those abilities into future careers, discover which pathway they can use to get to their future career - whether it be through an apprenticeship, a TAFE course or university - and look into some of the differences between high school and university.

Power Of Engineering

Power of Engineering is a not-for-profit organisation that runs events across Australia.  Their goal is to inspire all young people to consider a diverse and creative career in engineering, with a particular focus on females, regional and indigenous students. At this event local year 9 & 10 students will meet graduate engineers and our engineering academics. Throughout the day students will take part in hands on workshops and listen to presentations based on real life engineering problems.
