B.Y.O beverage of choice, a pen or pencil, paper and channel your inner Da Vinci and join our ‘Sip and Draw’ event hosted by the Ballarat Art Society. In this FREE event, add to your isolation skill bank and learn the basics of drawing 3D shapes and shading in a relaxed, fun and social environment. Get involved for your chance to win great prizes including hand printed art pieces and gift vouchers!
E-Games Lounge | 3:30pm to 4:30pm | Microsoft Teams
Brought to you by our Berwick E-Games Club, come along for some friendly (and maybe slightly competitive!) gaming to wind down your first day.
We will be exploring The Jackbox Party Pack, five fun games in one great pack – giving you the perfect excuse for clicking your way into the E Games Lounge for an hour of gaming delight, no experience necessary!
Never gamed before? Not to worry, club members will be there to guide you through set up and the basics of how to play. Just by participating you’ll have the chance to win some of the great prizes and giveaways up for grabs!
To participate, you can just use one device. But, if you have access to a computer and a phone that would be helpful.
Any two devices with web browsers access will do: computer, phone, tablet, PS4, even two computer screens.

Sports Lounge | 3:30pm to 4:30pm | Microsoft Teams
A fan of keeping active and enjoy some friendly competition? Join our sports co-ordinator in an introduction to FedMoves – our easy to navigate health and fitness app, where you can find out more about its activity tracking, workouts, ability to book spaces on Mt Helen Campus (including newly refurbished gym, pool and basketball court), challenges and more.
You’ll also have the chance to join not one, but two challenges being launched, each exploring different elements of the app and Fed apparel up for grabs!
Trivia Lounge | 3:30pm to 4:30pm | Microsoft Teams
If you know pieces of information that have shown little value to you thus far in life, here’s your chance to finally put them to use! With four different trivia challenges available to participate in, you’ll have a great shot at taking out the $50 gift card and Federation University hoodie prizes.
To participate, there are two things you will need to do:
- Have the Kahoot! app installed on your phone to play along.
It's available at the Apple App Store or on Google Play. If all else fails you can run it in your browser.
- Then, head to the Teams Trivia Lounge at the set time to follow along the live streaming game and win!
Puzzled? Our friendly team will be available in the Lounge to assist you in setting up.

Live HIIT Fitness Class and FedMoves Information Session | 12:00pm to 1:00pm | FedMoves app and Zoom
Take time out from sitting down, swap the slippers for sneakers and put that activewear to use!
Join our UniSport staff for a taste of what fitness classes are available at Fed. To access the class, download the FedMoves app, sign up and click the class on the day and get MOVEing! Class running from 12:00 to 12:30pm.
At 12:30pm, cool down from your HIIT session all the whilst hearing what other health and fitness opportunities are available on FedMoves.
Time and Priority Management Workshop by Josh Farr | 2:30pm to 3:45pm | Zoom
Are you wanting to be more efficient? Did you know that between news, social media, on-demand streaming, gaming and checking email, the average person loses more than 21 hours per week? (Inc, 2018).
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn how to reduce the stress and anxiety from procrastination
- Analyse your weekly effectiveness/efficiency using our online TIME168 Tool
- Start mornings off strongly with our 60&YOU formula
- Achieve your study/career goals with our 60&ONE formula
- End the week strongly with our 60&RAP formula.
