Get FedReady

We're here to support you every step of the way. That starts with preparing for academic success.

Enhance your orientation experience and get a head start at uni by completing our free FedReady program.

What is FedReady?

FedReady is a short course designed to help you develop the academic skills you need to get started at university. The program is free for all higher education Federation students.

Topics include:

  • preparing and writing assignments
  • using and citing references
  • understanding the University library
  • using University computers systems
  • managing your study load and other commitments
  • how to think critically.

FedReady is split into two parts: on-campus sessions held during Orientation and online, self-paced modules.

FedReady at Orientation

During our on-campus sessions you will learn about and practise basic academic skills such as understanding assignment questions, finding information, planning written assessments and getting started on your first assignment. You’ll also meet the Learning and Academic Skills Success (LASS) team and get a chance to ask questions about academic expectations.
