Book your graduation

Find out how to reserve graduation ceremony tickets for you and your family or friends through the Reed Graduation Services portal.

Join the celebration

If you’re eligible to graduate, you’ll receive an email invitation about 6 weeks before your graduation ceremony. Follow the link to the Reed Graduation Services portal to let us know whether you're going to attend or not.

If you make a booking, you'll receive your tickets via email. If you can't make it, you should select 'Defer or Graduate In Absentia' so you can choose how you'd like to receive your testamur (see fees section below for options). You can only defer your graduation once.

Bookings will close when the venue capacity limit has been reached. If this happens, please contact us so we can invite you to a different ceremony.

Didn't get an invitation? Contact us via our enquiry portal.

If you’re attending a ceremony, the fee is:

  • $140 for general graduates (which includes gown hire and two complimentary guest tickets)
  • $165 for PhD graduates (which includes gown hire and four complimentary guest tickets).

If you choose to graduate in absentia (not attend a ceremony), your testamur (certificate) can be:

  • posted within Australia for $25
  • posted overseas (via courier) for $95
  • collected in person for free (any time – you don't have to wait until after the ceremony).

Keen to bring more guests? If extra tickets become available, you'll be able to purchase them for $15 each. We'll send an email closer to the date if this is an option.

The name on your testamur will match the name you used at Federation for your enrolment. If you'd like something different written on the certificate, please fill out the Amend Your Personal Details form (PDF 400 KB) and submit it via our online enquiries portal.

If you booked tickets to a ceremony but can no longer attend, let us know via our online enquiry portal at least seven days before the graduation to receive a full refund. Unfortunately, extra guest tickets aren’t refundable.
