Self-Care – Staying well

Now more than ever it is important that we are taking good care of ourselves. Self-care is about all aspects of our lives and if we don’t do self care intentionally it can be very easy to find that it is not working as well as we would like. This hour-long workshop will cover self-care in a way that encompasses the entire person. There will be discussion about what is self-care, why is it important to get it right and some easy practical steps to get you started or help you continue what you are already doing.

The psychology of money
Thursday 12 May, 1:30pm - 2:30pm

This hour-long workshop looks at how our behaviours and experiences in life effect how we manage money. If we can better understand these behaviours and acknowledge our experiences, we can improve our relationship with our finances. Learn what behaviours are more likely to make us financially successful. Understand that being successful with money is not about learning the mechanics or rules of finance but is about learning why we interact with money the way that do. Once we understand our own behaviour and experiences related to money we can move forward in a financially successful way.

Substance Use & Misuse

This hour-long workshop will look at what are the differences between substance use and misuse. What impact does substance use and misuse have on your ability to function. How to assess your own use and how to help others that you may be concerned about. Learn about risk factors and resources. This workshop will include practical scenarios to help you understand all the options available for help.

Imposter syndrome – gendered bias
Thursday 19 May,  11:00am - 12:00pm

This workshop will focus on understanding how the imposter syndrome shows up in your life. We will look at, causes of imposter syndrome, what are our coping strategies. How to challenge automatic negative thinking and how to accept compliments and praise. We will also cover the role of gender bias and how that impacts imposter syndrome.
