Our scholarships help people who deserve it. But you might be surprised by what we mean by this.

At FedUni, you could deserve a scholarship based on academic or sporting merit. Or, because you’re moving from a remote area, you hail from an indigenous background, or you’re hoping to contribute to a specific industry or community.

Albert Coates Memorial Scholarships

The Albert Coates Memorial Scholarships are awarded to students who are able to achieve academic excellence whilst overcoming challenging circumstances. Students must have successfully completed their first year of a nursing, visual arts or biomedical science degree and be enrolled in the second year of the course. Federation University Australia scholarships and awards

Federation University have scholarships available for Year 10 and 11 students. This include scholarships are based on academic merit, desire to study at tertiary level, dedication and strong commitment to community and school community. Further information and application details

Golden Key International Honour Society Scholarships

The Golden Key International Honour Society Scholarships are awarded to its members for their academic, leadership and service excellence.

To apply, you must first be a currently enrolled student and member of Golden Key. Invitations to join the Society are extended on an annual basis to students who fall within the top 15% of undergraduates at FedUni.

Indigenous Student Success Program

Deadly Scholarships are administered on behalf of the Indigenous Student Success Program. Only Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are eligible to apply.

The Deadly Scholarships cover:

  • Deadly Education Scholarships - which assist with education costs for students enrolled and studying in enabling, undergraduate, honours or post-graduate awards;
  • Deadly Accommodation Scholarships - which assist with relocation and accommodation costs for students enrolled and studying in enabling, undergraduate, honours or post-graduate awards; and
  • Deadly Reward Scholarships (ICRS) which assist with one-off, additional unexpected costs for students to participate in program requirements enrolled and studying in enabling, undergraduate, honours or post-graduate awards.

Industry Placement Program Scholarships

Students participating in the Industry Placement Program (IPP) undertake a placement of up to 26 weeks with a host organisation in the same field as their studies. To help offset the costs involved in balancing study and placement, IPP students receive an organisational-funded scholarship payment of up to AUD $15,000.

The Australia Awards–Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are the Australian Government’s competitive, merit-based scholarships, grants and fellowships providing opportunities for Australians to undertake study, research or professional development overseas and for overseas citizens to do the same in Australia.

2020 Foundation Community Scholarships

Complete one application only for a Foundation Scholarship. You will be considered under every scholarship you are eligible for.

The Foundation Community Scholarships are available to higher education domestic, CALD, migrant, refugee, international undergraduate or post graduate FedUni campus students, online and TAFE students.

Applications will be assessed on financial circumstances and commitment to study.

2020 Foundation Continuing Student Scholarships

Complete one application only for a Foundation Scholarship. You will be considered under every scholarship you are eligible for.

The Foundation Continuing Scholarships are available to higher education domestic, CALD, migrant, refugee, international undergraduate (including honours) or postgraduate FedUni campus students and online students in the second or third year of their program

Applications will be assessed on financial circumstances and commitment to study.

Federation Year 12 Scholarship

We offer scholarships to the value of $5,000 to Year 12 students across Victoria who enrol in a Federation University Australia course. Applications Open in August each year. Further information and application details click here

Regional Rural and Remote Accommodation Scholarships

Federation University Students coming from a regional or rural location, and commencing studies at the Gippsland or Ballarat campuses may be eligible for an Accommodation scholarship equivalent of up to 50% of academic year accommodation fees. 2019 New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program

The 2019 New Colombo Plan  (NCP) Scholarship Program is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting young Australian's to study and undertake internships in the region.

NCP Scholarship programs can be undertaken in 40 Indo-Pacific host locations.

The Jean Galbraith Memorial Scholarship in Environmental Science

The award has been established to commemorate the life and work of  botanist and writer Jean Galbraith, who lived most of her life in Tyers, until her death in 1999.  The intention of the Latrobe City Trust is to support students majoring in areas broadly related to scientific interests in the Gippsland Region.

Capstone Editing scholarships and grants

Capstone Editing has extended the closing dates for grants to postgrads and female academics.  These annual grants provide funding of between $3,000 and $5,000 each.

Eva West Memorial Scholarship

The Latrobe City Trust has established the Eva West Memorial Scholarship to commemorate the life and work of Eva West who was born in Traralgon in 1888.  Throughout her life, Eva West, was an active member of the community, epitomising good citizenship.  Eva West was awarded an MBE in 1958 in recognition of her service to the community and has recently been included on the Victorian Honour Roll of Women.

AVCAT 2019 Scholarships

The Australian Veterans Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) is a national independent charity helping the children and grandchildren of ex-service Veterans with the cost of tertiary education.

Application for the 2020 scholarships of up to $12,000, managed by AVCAT open 18 August 2019.

Early Childhood Scholarships Program

Scholarship opportunity for early childhood teachers

The Andrews Labor Government is providing more than 400 scholarships to assist people to pursue a rewarding career as an early childhood teacher.  Early Childhood Australia Vic Branch will deliver the Early Childhood Scholarships Program with eligible recipients receiving up to $26,250 towards a bachelor qualification and up to $16,000 towards a postgraduate qualification, including for existing teachers wanting to up-skill.

Freemasons Scholarship Program

Freemasons Foundation Victoria is committed to supporting the youth of Victoria. A major initiative is our annual scholarship and award program for Tertiary and Secondary students.

​Each year the Foundation grants over $400,000 in Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries to students.

Pinnacle Foundation Scholarships

The Pinnacle Foundation provides Scholarships for students between the ages of 17-26, who are planning to study full-time education at a public or private secondary school (final year) or public institution of higher education in Australia, for the purpose of gaining an educational or vocational qualification in any profession, trade or the arts.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that because of their gender identity, sexual orientation or sexual characteristics they have been prevented or hindered from achieving their academic aspirations.
