Foundation Scholarships and Bursaries

In 2019 the following Foundation Scholarships and Bursaries will be awarded:-

|2||Foundation Asylum Seeker Scholarship|
Eligibility requirements: Higher education or TAFE asylum seeker student undertaking TAFE, undergraduate (including honours) or postgraduate at a FedUni campus or online. This scholarship is paid annually over three years.
Note: The Foundation supports two asylum seeker students annually, with funding currently committed for one current asylum seeker student in 2019. Funding will be available for new applications for one asylum seeker in 2019.

Foundation Commencing Scholarships
|12||Foundation Continuing Scholarships|
Eligibility requirements: Higher education domestic, CALD, migrant, refugee, international undergraduate (including honours) or postgraduate FedUni campus students and online students, including students in care, kinship care or a state ward for 12 months or more in the second or third year of their program
|26||Foundation TAFE Scholarships|
Eligibility requirements: TAFE, VCAL, CALD, migrant, refugee, international and FAST FedUni campus students, in care, kinship care or a state ward for 12 months or more.
Note: TAFE students are encouraged to provide one written reference

Eligibility requirements: TAFE, VCAL, CALD, migrant, refugee, international and FAST FedUni campus students; or Higher education domestic, undergraduate (including honours) or postgraduate and online students

|$1,000 - $3,000 each|
|1||Foundation Staff Scholarship|
Eligibility requirements: Higher education undergraduate or postgraduate level studies, excluding PhD undertaken by a Federation University Australia Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander staff member, Aboriginal Education Centre staff member or general administration staff, TAFE teaching staff identified as Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander to the value of $2,000.
Apply directly through the Foundation Office by completing the Scholarship Application Form.
|4||Foundation HDR Scholarships|
Eligibility requirements: Domestic, CALD, migrant, refugee, international Higher Degree by Research candidates enrolled at FedUni. Applicants should provide two written references, one of which must be from the candidate's Principal Supervisor including information on submission timeline. Applicants who do not include a thesis completion plan by the due date will be ineligible.
Downer Engineering Scholarships
Eligibility requirements: enrolled as a continuing Higher Education domestic Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (including Honours) degree; undertaking studies in Higher Education at Federation University Australia for the full 2019 academic year at a FedUni campus; able to demonstrate a commitment to study and willingness to develop a career within the mining industry; have achieved/maintained a credit GPA or equivalent in the previous 12 month period.
|4||Foundation Care-Leavers Scholarship|
Eligibility requirements: commencing Higher Education domestic, undergraduate (including honours) or postgraduate students who have been in care, kinship care or a stare ward for 12 months or more; or a Higher Education domestic undergraduate (including honours) or postgraduate student who has been in care, kinship care or a state ward for 12 months or more in the second or third year of their program; or a domestic TAFE, VCAL or FAST student. Applicants for a care-leavers scholarship must have been in continuous care for at least 12 months or more.
