This project looks to identify and develop an evaluation model of existing school-university outreach partnership programs that target capacity, achievement and aspiration building around science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), in rural and regional contexts.
It is difficult to get an accurate sense of the STEM school-university partnerships that exist across Australia as ongoing systematic research has not been conducted, there is no national database or transparent evaluation process.
We are looking to the development of a contact database from review of literature, university websites and professional networks. There are personnel in the area of STEM university-school outreach partnerships who have already expressed interest in participating or who have been identified as having a role in an outreach partnership.
If you have a role in a university-school STEM partnership or can identify colleagues who are in STEM university-school outreach partnerships, we would appreciate you sharing details of the partnership.
