Watching the incredible growth and diversity of the University as it went through many iterations to become the University of Ballarat and the merger of the University with Technical and Further Education.

Appreciating the immense value the University and the Technology Park add to Ballarat.

Describe the most enjoyable and challenging aspects of your job

The external environment of the University and TAFE sectors provides an enormous amount of information and data. Keeping up-to-date with this information, exploring its relevance to the University of Ballarat and ensuring appropriate financial strategies to deal with this ever-changing environment has provided me with a very stimulating and challenging position.

What are your strongest memories while you were studying at the University of Ballarat?

I have appreciated the opportunity to work my way up in the organisation and the egalitarian values which the University espouses.

I have always looked forward to the start of the new academic year when students return to campus and watching the enthusiasm and eagerness of the new students.

Do you have any advice about life after study to pass on to current students?

Studying and building a career and incredibly important to our lives and require dedication and focus, but you will be happier and more successful in every aspect of your life if you do keep a balance between study, career and your personal life.
