Doctor of Philosophy
What are some of your career highlights?
Being able to present research to business and research leaders from around the world.
Working together with a large variety of people from various backgrounds to achieve common goals.
Describe the most enjoyable and challenging aspects of your job
Thinking of new ways to deal with old problems is by far one of the greatest challenges that I face in my current role. Trying to change procedures that have existed for 15-20 years to align them with 21st century views or ideas.
Knowledge is very challenging but when successful it is very rewarding.
What are your strongest memories while you were studying at the University of Ballarat?
Freedom to be able to study and choose what I wanted to learn.
Friendly staff who are willing to support you in your endeavours.
The laid back life style that is provided at UB.
Do you have any advice about life after study to pass on to current students?
Take your time to learn as much as you can whilst at Uni as this will make life after studying far easier. Try and engage yourself with the practical nature of the study and most importantly never stop asking the question. Why? When you do you will close your mind to the real possibilities that exist out there.
To truly succeed in today’s fast paced business world you cannot be a mindless drone and you have to stand out from the crowd. With an open mind you will succeed in whatever endeavour you embark on.
