Federation University has a team of In-Country Representatives located around Asia. Our reps work closely with local agents, education providers and Federation’s vast networks to promote the university and support future students to find their dream degree with us.

| Africa, Middle Eastern Region & Global | Hi there! My name is Adeyemi Ekunola (Yemi). I am originally from Nigeria, having also lived and worked as an expatriate in the international education recruitment space in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for four years and therefore have a depth of understanding of the Middle Eastern regional markets. Likewise, having also worked in the same industry in Nigeria for several years before going to work in the UAE, I have a wealth of industry knowledge in the African markets. I moved to Australia as an international student from Dubai in 2017 and completed a Master of Marketing (specialising in Public Relations and Image Marketing) in 2019. Obviously, I have always been passionate about international education for I believe in its power to change the trajectory of anyone’s life positively, regardless of their background. I enjoy travelling, meeting people, and especially guiding young people to actualize their full potentials. I now live in a beautiful south-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Australia where I could explore my favourite activity – riding bike along trails in the forest. | China | Our China Rep, Xiaoting Su, is based in Shijiazhuang city, where our key partner Hebei University of Science and Technology, is located. Xiaoting is responsible for supporting our partners in China and organising student activities for offshore students enrolled in our joint delivery programs to gain good experience studying with Federation University. | China & Global | Hi! My name is Evan. I am of Chinese heritage and this is my 12th year living in Australia. I love food but can’t really tell you what is my favourite style because I love them all (Chinese, Western, Thai and Vietnamese, Malaysia and Mexico). However, at the bottom of my heart, mum’s cooking is still my no.1 and it is unbeatable. I am also a travel lover, do you like to travel too? I have been to more than 20 countries and the most impressive places for me so far are Greece and Brazil. In 2020 I sadly missed out on going on a big Europe trip which included visiting the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Germany and Belgium. I am not sure when we are able to travel internationally again, but I hope that day will be coming soon. For now, I continuing to enjoy life in Brisbane where I am based. I was an international student too, as I did my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the UK, and after returning back I decided to step into the education world and support international students. What a comeback 😊!! Being an international student myself, I can connect and understand the mindset of the students. I started in the role last June with a background in Education Counselling for 4 years. I also graduated with a degree in Marketing Management. In this role I am happy to practise both while helping students with their chosen careers and the possibility of travelling as well. | Vietnam | Xin chao, I’m Thuy, the in-country Representative of Federation University Australia in Vietnam. I’ve started my role in July, and previously worked in finance, NGO and education sectors, from which I feel so lucky to get a good sense of numbers and a sense of community. Working in the educational field has given me chances to travel to different places and meet new people. I love understanding their cultures and languages as I believe each of us is different and unique. I love baking cakes, arranging flowers and going to new places with my family. Guess what? I’m an alumnus of Federation University Australia. I enjoyed studying at Federation and found it was the best decision of my life.
