Semester One 2019 FedUni Brisbane orientation and enrolment
Monday 11 March - Friday 15 March
Orientation week is an important part of your transition to university life as a new student. You will discover where things are on campus, learn how things happen, meet your academic and support staff, get information to help you succeed in your chosen program, make lots of new friends and have fun!
Attendance is compulsory for all new students to attend sessions held Monday to Thursday. Students may also register their interest for a one on one session with Student Support staff on the Friday. This session will enable you to get to know the FedUni staff who will guide you throughout your studies and receive assistance prior to the Semester commencement. Continued attendance throughout the week is highly desirable as there are many events planned to help you get to know the city and meet your classmates.
Enrolment sessions will occur throughout the week.

City Welcome Festival
FedUni Brisbane students are invited to attend the annual City Welcome Festival - a day to experience Australian sports, life and indigenous culture as well as an official orientation and welcome to the city.
Lord Mayor’s International Student Friendship Ceremonies
The Lord Mayor Graham Quirk hosts a regular Friendship Ceremony to thank international students for choosing Brisbane as their study destination, and to encourage them to remain lifelong friends of the city. More than 3500 international students have so far been presented ‘Certificates of Friendship’ from the Lord Mayor. At the ceremony you will also receive resources about the city, including the free Brisbane International Student Guide, and the opportunity to network with a number of community exhibitors.
Brisbane Greeters and local orientations
Brisbane Greeters are part of the Global Greeter Network and offer free city tours to everyone including students living in or visiting Brisbane. Brisbane Greeters are local residents who volunteer to introduce you to the city. They book groups no larger than six (6) at a time, in a language you choose, on foot or bicycle. This is a fantastic way to see the City!
