Emma Venzke is a passionate performer originally from Brisbane, now based in Melbourne. She is a graduate from Australian Dance Performance Institute, holding a Diploma of Musical Theatre. At the Arts Academy she performed in Tribe (Freak) directed by Anthony Crowley, Jane Eyre (Blanche Ingram and others, and co-composer) directed by Ross Hall, and collaborated on the group-devised show Exquisite Corpse 2.0 directed by Kirsten von Bibra. For the latter, she utilised her composition skills to write songs and vocal arrangements with the guidance of musical director Mark Jones. Emma dance-captained her third-year musical Into the Woods directed by Alister Smith, as well as stepping into the demanding high-heels of Stepmother.
