Emily Burnett she/her
Growing up on Wurundjeri land nurtured by the extensive artistic culture of Melbourne, Emily is an enthusiastic queer performing artist. Her deep love of dramatic texts and fascination with human behaviour drew her to theatre from an early age. Emily began her formal training at the Arts Academy in 2020, as a High Achiever’s Scholarship recipient. She is honoured to have been directed by Kim Durban twice, in Semi-Monde (Beryl) and Welcome to Thebes (Antigone) and had the privilege of working with Ross Hall in Jane Eyre (Adele). Emily is especially engaged by contemporary Australian theatre and eagerly anticipates kick-starting her professional career in 2023.
