Growing up in Gippsland, Mia spent most of her life by the water on Gragin (Raymond Island). She discovered her love for the stage as a child through dance concerts and eisteddfods. Her time at the Arts Academy involved performing in the Australian musical, The White Rose (Gisela Schertling) directed by Janice Muller with musical direction by Claire Healy, The Lower Depths (Nastya) directed by Bagryana Popov and A Seat at the Periodic Table, a student-devised work where she was both a director and choreographer. Most recently, she performed in Virginia Woolf’s Orlando (Orlando) adapted by Neil Bartlett. Mia has a passion for queer, feminist works that empower minority voices.
