UniSports redevelopment project

To help us provide our valued customers with access to improved facilities and services, UniSports will be undergoing a number of renovations and changes in the coming months.

Please note the following important notes regarding opening hours and access.

Temporary location

The Toning Point Gym will be located in P815 while construction works are completed on building P.

Entry to UniSports, Pool and Building P Teaching Spaces

Please enter UniSports, the pool and Building P teaching spaces via the stairway door off Blainey Drive (car park 3).

Alternatively, accessible access will be via pool deck to the Northern end of car park 4 (near the dam).

Car parking


Public car parking is available in car park 5. Please follow the signs across University Drive and along Blainey Drive to P building. Alternatively temporary car parking is available along University Drive.

After-hours and weekend car parking


Public car parking is available in car park 3 if you are visiting after 5pm on weekdays or on weekends.

Female change room access

To assist our tradespeople to complete the upgrades for the month of May, access to the female change rooms needs to be restricted during the hours below. During these times the family change and disabled change room will be available:

Mondays 10.15am – 3pm
Tuesdays 10.15am – 2pm
Wednesdays 10.15am – 3pm
Fridays 8.30am – 12pm

Q&A

Q. Why is Unisports closing and relocating?
A. The university is investing in improving the human movement and sports science facilities. This will result in the introduction state of the art facilities including a new gym space

Q. Where is the gym moving to?
A. Until the gym is ready to be relocated into its new home (where basketball court is now) it will be housed in the space currently known as Dance studio.

Q. Will I able to access the gym and facilities as I do now?
A. Yes, you will be able to access facilities as you do now, however parking and building access points will be different.

Q. Will the pool opening hours and access be affected?
A. The UniSports pool will still be open and available for use as normal.
