Moodle and copyright

Are you thinking about Moodle and Copyright?

When making texts, images, audio or video available to your students on Moodle don't forget that you still need to comply with copyright law. Our copyright advisers are always ready to help with your copyright queries or concerns - just call 5327 9876 or email copyright@federation.edu.au.

When putting resources on Moodle, it's best to provide a link or embed the item rather than making a copy – you can only copy as permitted under copyright legislation.

But to save time and effort and ensure you are complying with copyright, the simplest thing to do is to use FedUni Library's eReadings service and Submission form.

There is an easy to understand brochure located here that explains what you can and can't do with copyright material.

For more complex questions please see our website: http://federation.edu.au/copyright/ or contact the Copyright Office on 5327 9876 or at copyright@federation.edu.au.
