through the table of contents.

Firstly ensure editing is turned on for your main Moodle page. Book Turn Editing On

Then go into the book you have created. It will like the image below but with your heading.

Book Icon

In the table of contents next to the chapter headings you will see below there are symbols.
These symbols are for editing:
o Book Button Icons ArrowsThe arrows allow for the chapter to be moved up or down in the order of chapters if you wish
to move it.
o Book Button Icons CogThe cog symbol is for editing. This is where you click to add or edit content, images, and links
in to your book.
o Book Button Icons CrossThe delete symbol is what you click on to delete the book or chapter if you no longer want it.
o Book Button Icons EyeThe eye symbol has the same use in a book as it does in the rest of Moodle which is
to make visible or hide something. In this case if you are not ready for students to view the book
yet then‘hide’ it so that you can work on it until you are happy to make it ‘visible’.
o Book Button Icons PlusThe plus symbol is what you click on if you wish to add additional chapters or sub chapters
to your book.
