Summary of previous experience
Deb has broad experience gained over the last 25 years as a senior executive in the private, public and semi-government sectors across a diverse range of industries in both Australia and overseas. These industries include energy, manufacturing, recycling, petro-chemicals, rail, and transport and logistics.
Companies Deb has worked for include: General Electric, Visy, Exxon, National Rail and Australia Post. She has held logistics and IT, project and change management, and environmental management roles.
She also has extensive board and committee experience in logistics, environment, education, and community services. Her board positions include Chair of the Rail Safety and Standards Board, LockTec Pacific, Special Olympics (Deputy Chair), the Harvard Club, the Banksia Environmental Foundation (Chair), Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board, and Ambulance Victoria.
When Deb is not working, she is busy trying to keep up with her husband (Stephen) and three girls (Stephanie, Virginia and Madeleine), all of whom seem to ski and row faster than she does; although she is proud to have won gold, silver and bronze medals at the 2012 National Rowing Masters Regattas held on Lake Wendouree.
