Vice-Chancellor's Senior Team (VCST)
Purpose: To advise on, and assist with, the planning, management, performance and strategic directions of the University.
Membership: Vice-Chancellor; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Engagement); Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Quality); Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Support and Services); Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic); Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation); Chief Operating Officer. Meets fortnightly.
Business Asset Review Committee (BARC)
Purpose: To advise on the strategic direction of the University's Technology Park and to make recommendations on external relationships to attract commercialisation and business opportunities to the Technology Park.
Membership: Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation); Director, Ballarat Technology Park; lay member of Council as appointed by the Chancellor. Meets at least three times per year.
Purpose: To advise on the strategic direction of the University's international operations and to make recommendations on external relationships relating to the delivery of programs to international students. Meets at the discretion of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, International & Partnerships who chairs the Committee.
Budget Advisory Committee
Purpose: To advise on the medium term financial strategy for the University, to make recommendations on the University's annual budget and to review the University's fiscal performance.
Membership: Vice-Chancellor's Senior Team (VCST); Chief Operating Officer; and, Associate Director - Planning, Budget and Procurement.
Commercial Services Advisory Committee
Purpose: To consider and advise on the strategic direction of the University's commercial services operations; to consider and monitor submitted commercial activity reports for both TAFE and higher education against performance targets; to advise on strategies for business improvement; and to consider other matters referred to it by the Vice-Chancellor or Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Engagement). The Committee is to meet no less that two times a year.
Membership: Director, Partnerships and Commercial Engagements; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Engagement); and two Deputy Vice-Chancellors.
The UHSPC is chaired by a nominee of the Vice-Chancellor. It is made up of an equal number of management representatives and health and safety representatives (HSRs), who represent the portfolio operations of the University. The UHSPC also seeks input from invited representatives of the student body and the University's specialist health and safety staff.
