Following the completion of a PhD in Immunology at Monash University, I have worked as a postdoctoral research scientist in Immunology at several leading research institutes. I was awarded an Irvington Institute fellowship to work at the University of Massachussetts (USA) for 3 years. I returned to Australia to take up a research position in the Cancer Immunology group at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre supported by a Peter Doherty fellowship. I have also worked at St Vincent's Institute in Melbourne. My research has focussed on T cell immunity to viruses and communication between cells of the innate and adaptive immune system in infectious and cancer settings. I am currently collaborating with researchers at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute (FECRI) to investigate the role of immune regulation in haematological malignancies.
