Preparing your funding application

Before completing any forms, please ensure that your planned project and/or funding application can be classified as research. For more information on the definition of research and the federal government requirements, please go to our Funding opportunities website.  
All prospective research funding applications and associated budgets must be approved by your faculty/school/centre.  Please discuss your funding application plans with your Associate Dean Research (ADR)/Centre Director in the first instance.

Discuss your funding application plans with your ADR/Centre Director and arrange appropriate mentoring and support.

Funding Expression of Interest (FEOI) due to Research Funding.

Final draft of Application and Budget Costing Pro-forma due to Research Funding for Internal Compliance review if applicable.

Submission ready Application and Funding Submission Coversheet (FSC) due to Research Funding for *DVCRI approval.

Request for Late Submission due at 9am on this day if applicable.

Approved Application submitted to funding body on or before this time.

*Applications may be rejected at the discretion of the DVCRI.  Rejected applications will not proceed to submission in the current funding round.  Possible reasons for rejection include incomplete application, non-compliance, lateness and poor viability.
