15-minute webinars: Library support and resources for academic staff, 14 - 20 June

To assist you with your teaching, the Library is presenting a series of 15-minute online sessions on Library support and resources.

The sessions will cover:

  • Subject Guides - Learn how your Library Subject Guide can be tailored to include assignment help for your students.
  • Course Readings – For new teaching staff, or a refresher for existing staff. Rolling over lists, adding readings to a list and managing your list.
  • FedCite for Referencing – An overview of key features and examples of how content can be tailored to support your students.
  • QuickSearch – How to use QuickSearch effectively. Find out about some of the features that will make life easier for you and your students.
  • Finding News – Discover how to find local, national and international news content via the library.
  • Searching via Databases – Database searching for assessment tasks.
  • Open Educational Resources (OERs) – Textbooks can be a barrier for some students, whether that is cost or availability. This webinar is an overview of open educational resources and how to find them.
  • Under-used gems in the Library – Discover “hidden” library resources!
  • Copyright – Make sure your teaching content is on the right side of Copyright with easy-to-use and time-saving tools.
  • Print vs Electronic: what the Library is doing – What the Library buys now, what the future (might) look like, and where are all the print books going?
