Ask A Curator Day

Posted: Tuesday 14 September 2021

Today is Ask a Curator Day. Take this opportunity to ask about items in our Art and Historical Collections, or beyond.

Have you been wondering if there is anything in our collections to assist with your research, illustrate your journal article, inform your interests, or whether your grandparents feature in a photograph or document? Ask your question via our Facebook page (@FedUniGBRC) or Instagram page (@fedunicollections).

The University's Art and Historical Collection is centred in the Geoffrey Blainey Rearch Centre (top floor Mt Helen Library) and can searched online via federation.edu.au/curator. Your questions will be answered by Curator Clare Gervasoni who believes every day is Ask a Curator Day!

Ask a Curator Day started in 2010 so a curious public would be able to question the keepers of cultural heritage about the objects in their care and what it is they do with them. The event became an instant hit with museums around the world fielding questions from their audiences, and trended number one on Twitter worldwide.
