Course Readings in Moodle has been upgraded with an exciting new product called Academic Insights which provides you with more detailed statistics on how your students are engaging with the readings in your course. 

The new statistics provide information on how many links and files have been accessed, how many students have accessed each reading, and how many times each student has accessed each reading.  This information is displayed in both numeric and graphic formats and can be accessed by clicking on the numbers displayed in the Course Readings widget in Moodle. A PDF is attached which shows how you can access Academic Insights statistics for your course.

This data can be used with other learning analytics regarding student retention and engagement and in reviewing course design.
