Committee member requirements

  • May be international or domestic students
  • Are representatives for all multicultural students and set a great example.
  • Have a strong idea about how FedUni could improve the multicultural student experience, and are enthusiastic about helping to make this happen
  • Are comfortable talking to other students and staff about issues students face
  • Can commit to attending meetings and taking actions each month as a result
  • Are available for orientation 19-23 February 2018 and 23-27 July 2018 (talk to us if not)
  • Plan and run social events/activities as part of a team
  • Manage time effectively to maintain good academic progress
  • Keep in regular contact with the Multicultural Services Office
  • Will be enrolled until at least July 2018 and have completed at least 1 semester at FedUni by Feb 2018 (any campus)

A place on the committee is open to any FedUni student from any campus – International or domestic, higher Ed, TAFE or postgrad. Places are limited to 15, and a majority of committee members must be from a culturally - diverse backgrounds (including international students)

Give some (approx. 200 words) reasons why you want to be a committee member and why you think you'd be great at it.

My position on the committee will be reconsidered if I fail to attend three or more meetings. I confirm that I am: (i) studying at FedUni at a time fraction of  0.5 or more; (ii) studying at FedUni until at least July 2018. Applications close at 5pm on Tuesday 19 September. Depending on number of applications received, we may ask for more information/conduct short selection interviews after this date.
