Ballarat Campuses Open Day activities

Open Day is your opportunity to find out more about Federation University Australia at our Mt Helen and Camp Street campuses.

While Ballarat is home to four campuses of Federation University Australia, we have limited our Open Day activities to two of our major campuses, Mt Helen and Camp Street - giving you more opportunity to explore all study options with less traveling.

A range of program, general and scholarship information sessions will run throughout the day – to help you discover a little more about the FedUni community - as well as help you to understand the application processes, fees, support services, and all the other things you need to know about before you start university.

Free shuttle bus

A free shuttle bus will operate between the University’s Mt Helen and Camp Street campuses and the Ballarat Railway Station throughout the day. First shuttle departs the Ballarat Railway Station at 9.45am - final shuttle will return to Station at 3.25pm. Make sure you grab a schedule from one of our Welcome Points on the day or simply download our bus timetable here:

Please note: VLINE is introducing a new regional timetable effective Sunday 27 August.  Information provided in this document was correct at time of publication (2 August 2017) and incorporates the proposed changes - however this is subject to change. Please visit the Vline August 2017 Timetable page prior to departure to ensure correct times.

Car parking

Mt Helen Campus - There are around 1500 free car parking spaces and event parking signage will be in place on Open Day.

Camp Street Campus - There are no free or permit parking spaces. Council-controlled parking is available in the surrounding streets, however many of these have time restrictions in place on Sundays. Free parking is available at the Ballarat Railway Station (no time restrictions) or Big W (2 hour limit) - both of which are a 5-minute walk from the campus.

Mt Helen Campus activities

Each major study area is host to a Discovery Point so if you’re looking to commence a degree program make sure you drop in and speak with staff and students about the programs on offer.

If you want a career in the trades - check out our Try-a-Trade Alley!

Along with program and application information you’ll also have the opportunity to check out a range of displays and demonstrations – you can also try your hand at some of the activities that our students participate in throughout the duration of their studies.
