Artistic works made from crayon, aerosol, ash, dust and dirt will be some of the intriguing exhibits on display by Federation University Australia’s Graduating Visual Arts students at the Gippsland campus this week.

Titled Strange Attractors, the exhibition will reveal the diverse and individual paths that Arts Academy Gippsland students Jeremy Kasper, Taylor McGregor and Jake Velasco have taken throughout their studies.

Their final exhibition of art work will see 22 works of art on display ranging from ceramics, painting, printmaking and sculpture.

Exhibits will include Jeremy Kasper’s Sacrifice, which is about memory; Taylor McGregor’s ‘Just like the trees and flowers. . . ‘, (a ceramic vessel) and Jake Velasco’s Opulent Self (a vivid painting of a face of flowers).

The exhibition at the Switchback Gallery will run until 27 March.
