Posted: Wednesday 11 September 2019

The countdown has started for the Federation University Run for a Cause 2019 event on Sunday, 17 November.

An event of The Ballarat Foundation, Run for a Cause 2019 will be the largest community fun run and walking event in the Ballarat region.

This year’s cause will focus on supporting the one in five children in the Ballarat area who start school disadvantaged. These developmentally vulnerable children face significant physical, cognitive and social challenges long term.

Now in its second year, Run for a Cause 2019 will be sponsored by Federation University. Proceeds from the event will go straight to local charities.

The event will bring together schools, businesses and community groups to raise funds and awareness for this year’s charity.

There will be four events on the day – the Kids 1km Dash; the 5km Run and Family Walk; the McGrath Real Estate 10km; and the Half Marathon (21.1km). They will be held at Victoria Park and around Lake Wendouree. On-course entertainment also will be on display.
