Posted: Friday 26 July 2019

Federation University Australia’s picturesque Mount Helen campus and cutting edge sports science programs will be showcased when the 2020 Federation University Road National Championships return to Ballarat in January next year.

Cycling Australia today announced the schedule for the five-day event, which will run from 8 to 12 January.

The course goes directly past the university’s new state of the art Sports Science building on University Drive, which is currently under construction.

The $15 million building will be open to the community during the event for tours and demonstrations of the latest sports science technology, ahead of its official opening for semester one next year.

Federation University’s School of Health and Life Sciences is ranked in the top 100-150 universities in the world in the prestigious Shanghai Ranking of world universities.

The new building will provide first class facilities and equipment to match the university’s world class sports science research, teaching and learning. It will also feature a community gym so local residents can also enjoy using the very best facilities.
