University welcomes new Pro-Vice Chancellor, International

Federation University Australia is delighted to welcome Professor Talal Yusaf as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor, International.

Professor Yusaf’s international university career has included teaching, research and management positions in the Middle East, Malaysia and regional Australia.

He holds PhDs in renewable energy and biotechnology, and has a strong research background.

Professor Helen Bartlett, Vice-Chancellor and President, said: “Professor Yusaf brings an outstanding record of achievement to the university and his leadership will be strategically important across all areas of the international portfolio.”

“Professor Yusaf has extensive experience in strategy and international development, articulation pathways, student mobility, sponsorships, research partnerships, and government and university partnership engagement,” Professor Bartlett said.

“He is another welcome addition to the series of new senior appointments commencing at the University.”

Professor Yusaf said he was very pleased to join Federation University Australia at this exciting time in its development.

“The University has a long history of welcoming international students from many countries,” Professor Yusaf said.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues and stakeholders to continue FedUni’s internationalisation and growth into international markets.”
