University increases number of first round offers

Posted: Tuesday 16 January 2018

Federation University Australia has continued the growth of its student numbers with more first round offers than last year to prospective students.

Information released from VTAC reveals that the University has made 1437 offers to prospective students compared to 1403 last year.

The University’s new Berwick Campus has made 518 offers, a substantial increase from 2017 during its first year of operation.

“The University is extremely pleased with the number of first round offers we are able to make,” Professor Leigh Sullivan, Acting Vice-Chancellor, said.

“We have seen a significant increase in enrolments in arts, science, nursing, and commerce and education studies.”

Further to the first round offer increase, the 2017 Employer Satisfaction Survey (ESS), released last week by the Federal Department of Education and Training found that FedUni graduates are among Australia’s best, and job-ready when entering the workforce.

Employer supervisors rated FedUni graduates 93.9% for Employability skills, 98.5% for Technical skills and 96.9% for Adaptive skills.

“It is not too late to apply to study at FedUni. Interested students are encouraged to contact the university and discuss their study options,” Professor Sullivan urged.
