Posted: Monday 16 October 2017

Two students from Federation University Australia’s TAFE programs have been celebrated as finalists in this year’s Victorian Training Awards.

Leigh Colledge from Ballarat was a worthy finalist in the School-Based Apprentice of the Year Category. His dream of becoming a farmer is becoming a reality due to his apprenticeship.

The second FedUni finalist in the Victorian Training Awards was Chris Gallagher (pictured), who was a nominee in the Vocational Student of the Year category.

“Both Leigh and Chris are to be congratulated for their strong performances in this year’s awards,” Barry Wright, Executive Director of FedUni TAFE, said.

“We also congratulate our industry partner, AF Gason from Ararat, for winning the Employer Award for Apprenticeship Development.”
