FedUni Returns top Good Universities Guide Rankings

Posted: Monday 28 August 2017

Federation University Australia has maintained its reputation as a leading national university by achieving three outstanding five-star ratings in the 2018 Good Universities Guide.

With a maximum five-star rating for Student Support, Social Equity and Skills Development, the university continues to excel across many important fields.

The University was rated high in the areas of Teaching Quality, Graduate Employment and Median Starting Salary and was delighted to receive five stars for Teaching Quality in the disciplines of Computing and Information Systems, Engineering, Health Services and Support, and Humanities, Culture and Social Sciences.

“On behalf of the university, I would like to thank our students for taking the time to complete the survey and for giving FedUni such favourable rankings,” Professor Marcia Devlin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Quality), said.

“FedUni has consistently recorded strong results in these competitive university rankings and this year is no exception,” Professor Devlin said.

“We are so pleased that our efforts to provide the highest quality of support and learning have been recognised by the most important people – our students.”

In Humanities, Culture and Social Sciences, the university achieved results in Australia’s top 20 percent for five of the eight measures used by the Good Universities Guide.

FedUni is predominantly based regionally, with 80 per cent of undergraduates studying full time and on campus, more than any other regional university in Australia.
