New students prepare to start at Berwick Campus

Posted: Thursday 16 February 2017

A new generation of students will start university life at Federation University Australia’s Berwick Campus as organisers prepare to welcome them for Orientation Week from 20 to 24 February.

A noticeable buzz surrounds the new FedUni Campus as it continues to experience growth in student applications. So far more than 400 students have accepted offers, with nursing, education, business, and vet and wildlife sciences rounding out the most popular degree programs.

O-Week traditionally is the week before classes begin for new students. At FedUni Berwick it will be jam packed with activities to kick-start academic and social life on the campus.

Professor Andy Smith, Acting Vice-Chancellor, encouraged all new students to participate in orientation week celebrations and congratulated those who accepted offers to study at FedUni Berwick.

“We’re excited to welcome the first student cohort at our new FedUni Berwick Campus. A university education is a life changing experience and it opens up doors to many career opportunities,” Professor Smith said.

“O-Week is an opportunity to get to know more about your course and faculty, meet staff and other new students, and to develop the confidence to start your university journey at FedUni.

“New students will be delighted to know that FedUni is ranked number one in Victoria for teaching quality, student support and full time employment using the Federal Government’s Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching.”

New students are encouraged to take advantage of all the activities planned. For more details about O-Week at FedUni Berwick click here
