Biography

Alan has 17 years' experience as an academic in management and human resource management at Swinburne University and Federation University Australia at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His recently completed PhD was on the federal government university policy initiative called mission-based compacts and the organisational learning implications of the policy at the institutional level. Alan commenced in Federation College in February, 2015.

Previous to this, Alan had a senior management role in the former University of Ballarat's staff development function (2008-10); operated his own management development consultancy in Australia (1997-2006); and lived and worked in the USA in healthcare marketing and Human Resources (1982-92).
