Embedded Academic Transition (EAT)
Success at university requires more than learning new study skills. A successful student also learns about the academic culture and expectations, and academic scholarship requirements.
The two Embedded Academic Transition (EAT) courses are delivered alongside disciplinary core courses in some first year degree programs.
The two courses are:
- Understanding University Learning
- Knowledge and Professionals
These courses introduce students to the skills necessary to be successful higher education learners. You will learn about the importance of critical thinking and research, and how to carry it out. The courses also look at the relevance of learning skills and the benefits they bring to the workplace.
