General English program

This program is for people who want to improve their English speaking, listening, reading and writing. Migrants and refugees who have arrived recently in Australia can do the Program. It is also available to Australian citizens and permanent resident visa holders who have been here for some time. The program provides a pathway towards employment or further study, depending on your goals. It also helps you increase your access to your local community.

Migrants and refugees under an eligible visa can study under the Adult Migration Education Program (AMEP). They can access up to 510 teaching hours at no tuition cost to help them improve their English.
