Bachelor of Applied Science (Extractive Metallurgy)
For the Bachelor of Applied Science (Extractive Metallurgy) you need to enrol in four subjects:
- BUMGT1501 Management Principles
- ENCOR1110 Materials and Engineering
- SCMET1003 Mineral Science
- SCMET1002 Inorganic Chemistry (if you studied chemistry in secondary school) OR Elective
The elective is a general elective so you may enrol in any subject that you feel will enhance your degree, from any area of the University. There is a full list of the School of Applied and Biomedical Sciences subjects available in the Essential Resources section of our new enrolments page.

If you have previously completed studies at a TAFE Certificate IV or Diploma level, or at University, you MAY be eligible to obtain credits for these prior studies. Please contact your coordinator, Larissa Koroznikova, prior to enrolling to discuss.
