Physical education and outdoor education
If you strive to be the specialist that motivates and inspires, Federation University Australia's (FedUni) physical education and outdoor education qualifications will give your career a head start.
Our qualifications are reviewed regularly, ensuring they're consistent with industry standards and our graduates are best prepared for the current sporting industry. A number of our qualifications are recognised and/or accredited by accreditation bodies and institutes, at state and national levels.
The new Bachelor of Outdoor and Environmental Education is a niche degree that has evolved from FedUni's long history of excellence in health and physical education. Students will develop vocationally relevant skills, through learning opportunities that blend theoretical knowledge with practice. Students can expect significant practical components as well as theoretical underpinning and field trips in bushwalking, canoeing and rock-climbing. These programs are especially relevant to students pursuing a career in teaching but are also appropriate for those wishing to work with youth in community recreation and health settings.
Want to combine your love for working outdoors, with a desire to teach health and physical education? The new Bachelor of Health and Physical Education/Bachelor of Outdoor and Environmental Education is a double degree which enables you to expand your employment options. Graduating as a teacher of health, outdoor and physical education also opens the possibility of working in recreation, tourism and outdoor education.
