Indigenous Australians at War: From the Boer War to the present

Thu 4 Jul - Tue 6 Aug 2013

A photograph-based touring exhibition created by the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne.

59 images presented stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service and sacrifice during the Boer War, First World War, Second World War, Korea, Vietnam, subsequent conflicts and peace-keeping operations.

This wonderful exhibition honoured the contribution of indigenous people to the defence forces of Australia since European settlement.
