Brian McLennan Scholarship
The Brian McLennan Art Scholarship is a visual arts scholarship and was created in recognition of the contribution made by Brian McLennan to the teaching of arts at the School of Mines and Industries Ballarat (SMB), now a campus of Federation University Australia. SMB had a long and proud history in teaching art, and Brian McLennan as a teacher, Head of Department and Assistant Director had a major influence on the teaching programs over the period 1976 – 1999. Scholarships are awarded annually and consist of one scholarship, to the value of $2,000.
Students enrolled in the Diploma of Graphic Design who intend to pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Communication Design. At the time of the application and on receipt of the scholarship the recipient must be enrolled as a full time student.

Albert Coates Memorial Scholarships
The Albert Coates Memorial Scholarships are awarded by the Albert Coates Memorial Trust to students who are able to achieve academic excellence whilst overcoming challenging circumstances
Students enrolled in their second year of a visual arts undergraduate or postgraduate program could be eligible to apply for the Jim Pryor/Ballaarat Club Visual Arts Award, one of the three Memorial Scholarships available to the value of $2,500.

Graduate Women Victoria scholarships
Graduate Women Victoria offers a range of scholarships and bursaries for women currently enrolled in universities in Victoria. Awards range in value from $2000 to $6000.
You may be eligible to apply if you are:
- A currently enrolled student at a Victorian university;
- A resident of Victoria while studying; and
- Experiencing or have experienced disadvantage in the pursuit of your studies.
Women who are Australian citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for all scholarships, except the international scholarship. International students undertaking a postgraduate research degree are eligible to apply for the international scholarship. New Zealand students who are not permanent residents are eligible to apply for the international scholarship.
