Biography

Xiaoli Jiang was born in Tianjin, China. She obtained her bachelor and master's degrees in Beijing and then taught at the Beijing University of Physical Education for six years before undertaking Ph. D. studies in Australia.
After completion of her Ph. D. she resumed her teaching career at Federation University Australia.
In recent years, Xiaoli has invested considerable energy in delivering quality teaching and developing new courses in the area of International Studies.
As a result she has received several national and Federation University teaching awards, namely:

National Awards:

  • The 2012 Australian Awards for University Teaching: Citation for outstanding contributions to student learning.
  • The 2009 Australian Awards for University Teaching: Citation for outstanding contributions to student learning.

Federation University Awards:

  • The 2015 Federation University Vice-Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence
  • The 2011 University of Ballarat Vice-Chancellor's Awards: Citation for outstanding contributions to student learning.
  • The 2006 University of Ballarat Vice-Chancellor's Award for Team Excellence
