Inner Gippsland Children & Youth Area Partnership (IGCYAP)

The Inner Gippsland Children and Youth Area Partnership (IGCYAP) is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people from birth to eighteen years in the local government areas of Baw Baw Shire, LaTrobe City, South Gippsland Shire, and Bass Coast Shire.

The three priorities of IGCYAP are to:

  1. Improve outcomes for children and young people in care
  2. Keep children and young people safe, secure and supported within their families
  3. Reduce the over-representation of Aboriginal children in care

Federation University Australia and IGCYAP partners have established a research collaboration to advance and apply research knowledge in the three priority areas; build a community of practice among practitioners, researchers, managers, educators and people with lived experience, and support organisations to design, implement and evaluate evidence-informed interventions.
