Doctoral Research Initiative 2016 - 2019
The Central Highland Children and Youth Area Partnership Research Collaboration (CHCYAP RC) Doctoral Research Initiative 2016-2019 involves doctoral students undertaking research projects that have been co-designed by Federation University Australia and CHCYAP community sector and government stakeholders. The doctoral students are enrolled full-time at FedUni and awarded tax-free scholarships collectively funded by a number of CHCYAP members (CAFS (Child and Family Services), Berry Street Grampians Region, Department of Education and Training, Central Highlands Family Service Alliance, Vulnerable Children's Reform Unit, Department of Health and Human Services West Division Central Highlands, Central Highlands Family Violence Committee, and the Faculty of Education and Arts (FedUni)).
PhD topics have been developed to reflect the three priority areas of CHCYAP:
- reducing family violence
- improving the capacity of parents to effectively nurture and protect their children from harm
- increasing engagement in kindergarten and schools.
This cohort of doctoral students will form a community of learners embedded within and contributing to the agenda of the CHCYAP.
Scholarship applications will be open from 23 May - 24 June 2016. For further information about the topics, and the recruitment and selection process, please visit CHCYAP Scholarships.
