Through the FedUni's Information Technology courses, you continue to build your skills and knowledge, and develop your self-sufficiency as an ICT user. Become competent in a wide range of general information and communications technology technical functions. Increase your knowledge of industry-standard applications, learn about more advanced features in operating systems, fault-finding, creating basic web pages, customising packaged software applications and more. Get to know more advanced features in operating systems, and develop your troubleshooting skills. This certificate can lead you to work in basic personal computer support, network/system administration or in first level help desk roles.There are five key areas to this program:Applications: Starting off with the basic of Word, Excel and Access and finishing with the more advanced features and functions, the applications stream aims to ensure that graduates have the necessary skills to create efficient and advanced templates to be used in the IT environment.Hardware: The hardware stream has been designed in conjunction with the CISCO IT Essentials curriculum which covers fundamental computer and career skills for entry-level IT jobs. The IT Essentials curriculum includes hands-on labs that provide practical experience and virtual tools help you hone your troubleshooting skills and practice what you learn. With a focus on sustainable work practices to boot, the hardware stream is rigorous and designed with industry ready in mind.Web Programming: Web programming is core in an IT skillset and this stream takes the basics of web design and review and not only teaches how to build a basic website using commercial programs it will also so ensure that you are able to maintain and review existing websites as well.Industry Skills: Communication, participation and providing advice are all part of being successful in the IT industry. With a focus on the aforementioned and through practical demonstrations the industry stream will prepare you to work in the buzzing IT industry.Through the FedUni's Screen & Media course, you will become a skilled operator in digital video, radio and online content creation, or a skilled assistant in film and television production services. This entry level program will teach you how to work effectively in the creative arts industry, as well as offering you a range of electives which may include 2D and 3D digital animation and developing drawing skills.Becoming an animator, designer or media developer. Digital media is an exciting and evolving industry.In the FedUni's Digital Media courses, you'll learn how to design, develop and refine digital media technologies. You'll learn about animation, digital imaging, digital video product, games development and more, using Adobe and Autodesk suites. And when you graduate, you'll be ready for a career developing the latest digital technologies for experts and everyday people alike. Your classes will be hands on and interactive, working with the most recent technologies. We also ensure you have the business skills needed to cut it in the workplace.
