Stop by the Library Life PARTY where you will have the opportunity to chat with library staff in an informal setting. Understanding what resources are available in the library will see you on the first step to success in your student life. While you are there check in with the ITS team to assist you getting logged in and using the campus free Wifi and any other questions answered you may have.

Introduces students to the requirements of essay writing at a tertiary level. We will look at topic analysis, planning, essay structure, critical thinking and writing. Registration is preferred but not required. There is a duplicate session offered on Friday.

This session will help you avoid plagiarism by using referencing to acknowledge your sources in your assignments. Registration is preferred but not required. There is a duplicate session offered on Friday.

An extension of the morning session with an opportunity to engage closely with those in your particular program. Academics will show you how to navigate your way around the Nursing Moodle Shells and the essentials you need to know for studying your nursing degree.
Flexi Students will be shown how to engage with your class and academics using Moodle discussion forums and Virtual classrooms in the computer lab and orientation to the nursing and science labs.

This is a highly valued interactive session focusing on how to write and present your assessment tasks and one not to be missed. The learning skills advisors and academics will work through the topic analysis, research terms, planning, essay structure, critical thinking, writing and referencing for your major assessment for the nursing course NURBN1001. This is a hands on session that will hone in on the specific elements required to successfully write this assessment and answer any questions you may have.
