Keynote speakers

On Saturday, all delegates will get the opportunity to hear from inspirational leaders. They will talk about their life, their work, and how they have been a Change Maker!

There will also be opportunities for Q&A with a panel of your afternoon Keynote speakers and a collection of inspirational FedUni student leaders, so get your questions at the ready for an interactive discussion on how to get your ideas for change up and running.

Lorraine Davies - Morning keynote

"Change Your Mindset: Change Your Life (and the lives of others)"

Lorraine is a Victorian-based growth mindset consultant and the founder of Mindset Mastery. Lorraine first enrolled in university at age 50, not knowing how to turn a computer on. Since that time, she has hosted world-renowned motivation expert and researcher Professor Carol Dweck from Stanford University at Fedewration University, and was then invited to be an affiliated partner with Professor Dweck's company. A former teacher with a passion for students' learning success, Lorraine is renowned for her down-to-earth, warm speaking style. She delivers rich content and cutting edge insight.

Lorraine is also a mentor to Tom Black, the Head Coach of Loyola Marymount Women's Volleyball Coach and Assistant Coach of the USA Women's National Volleyball Team.

Lilly Fry-McBean - Snoozefest

Lilly is a 4th year Bachelor of Education (P-6) student at FedUni and is an avid Girl Guide Leader. During early 2016, she took part in organising a Girl Guide event, Snoozefest, which involved 600 Girl Guides and Leaders camping the night at Werribee Open Range Zoo. Being involved with Snoozefest taught Lilly a lot about what she is capable of when she steps outside her comfort zone.

Annika Miesen - Education resources for Kenya

Annika is coming to the end of her Health and Physical Education degree at FedUni. She demonstrates great leadership in her roles with the Macpherson Smith Rural Foundation as a former participant and camp leader, and in her more recent project which she is implementing at schools in Kenya.
