Exam start times
Generally, there are two exam sessions scheduled each weekday of the exam period, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Occasionally, evening exams may also be scheduled.
It is important that you refer to your exam timetable each time it is emailed to you, as these contain your personal start times.
On-campus theory exams generally commence:
- Morning - 9:30AM
- Afternoon - 2:00PM
- Evening - as scheduled
However, these start times can vary by location. You must refer to your personal exam timetable for this information.
It is important to arrive on time for your exams. Seating for exams in main venues commences around 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, and it's recommended that this time is used to get settled before your exam starts.
Once 30min of an exams writing time has elapsed, no further entry to an exam is permitted.
Misreading your timetable is not itself considered cause for special consideration or exam deferral.
Practical exam start times vary. These frequently commence prior to 9:30AM, and students may need to consult Course Coordinators for their individual time slot.
Off-campus theory exam start times can vary based on location. Personal timetables emailed to off-campus students (ODL) confirm the details of their individual arrangements.
