About us

We engage with diverse arts practice to tell the story of our region for the benefit of the world. Through live performances, theatre, visual art workshops, exhibitions and residencies, our story is of vibrancy and diversity.

Tell your story with us.

We acknowledge Australia’s first people as the traditional owners and custodians of the land.

The Arts Academy Ballarat is located on the traditional lands of the Wathaurung people of the Kulin Nation. The Gippsland Centre for Art and Design is located on the traditional lands of Gunaikurnai people, whose lands occupy most of Gippsland. We pay our respect to these people, their cultures and to their elders both past and present. We appreciate your commitment to, and connection with, the land, community and particularly to art, to storytelling and to preserving culture. We acknowledge and deeply respect First Nations artists and designers.
